FML STORY #1

Making this brief, but funny.

For my PSY100 class we need to participate in at least 4 experiments, where we (ME) are the lab rats. So sign up was last week and well spots were running out and times were limited by my schedule. I quickly signed myself up for four, one each day and thought I was done with the whole ordeal. Today I was checking out what if any had certain criteria which I vaguely remember seeing. So I looked and saw that for my Thursday experiment that I needed to be: 18-35 years old [CHECK], right-handed [CHECK] and male with European background. [UUMMMM NOPE?] I swear I didn't see that when I was signing up and now I need to cancel that experiment and wait for more to come up because that was my forth one. Seriously, I didn't see anything about being a white dude, I read that I must not use hair products on the day of but other than that I thought I was in the clear for this experiment. Well yah that's my story for today. I thought I would share it with you my fellow scholars since life shouldn't all be serious; there will be these moments where all you can do is laugh and share it. Hope that made your day/night/whatever slightly better because honestly things like this only really happen to me :)

OMGOSH MASSIVE RECAP POST TIME OF YESTERDAY! This concert was so much fun I couldn't have asked for anything better. Actually going to McDonald's with DBlaise and Andy would have been awesome but I can't complain.

So I have to start from the beginning since I told someone that this would be EPIC and it shall. SIT KIDDIES AND READ AND LOOK AT THE PICTURES AND WATCH THE VIDEOS. (they're coming I swear!) Warning I got a new camera, 10 megapixels from the 5.2 I had before so if you thought my pics were huge before, imagine them now. YAH I KNOW. OKAY! Also it's a mix of everything: text, pics and videos so really now I'm telling you to brace yourself.

I wanted to be there early but not too early since waiting is a crazy biatch when I know I could be sleeping. So we aimed to catch the 11:25 Go Bus. But since I plan on getting my G2 before the end of this month I needed to practice. The plan became me driving to pick V up then back up again to catch the bus. But I sleep in until 10 something and we left at 11 and there was traffic on Maine Street (stupid Farmer's Market!) so we were late. I was so disappointed but then I asked my dad to drive like a mad man and to the stop on the mall. And we MADE IT! but barely! The bus stopped for like a couple of minutes and we had to jump out of the car while it was still driving and run up to the bus to catch it. I was so relieved. I almost pissed myself at the strange accomplishment. V looked very worried about my sanity but it only worsen during the rest of the day. Also since I used my mom's monthly pass it was free for the both of us! THIS was a bonus :p

So bus rides are boring. And well we just talked nothing new or exciting about that :)

I forgot to mention V lost her ticket. Yah it sucked so we had to go get her a new one :) Luckily Rotate This was near the venue and we took the street car to Rotate This. The guy who sold V her ticket was extremely adorable. Like just precious I could have cried. I asked him if there were any Yeah Yeah Yeah tickets left and he gave me the saddest face of disappointment. It cushioned the blow a little 'cause he was so gosh darn cute! SO THE YEAH YEAH YEAHS ARE A NO NO NO :( Anyway it was such a nice day we walked and V complained. Crawford Street is really residential so we passed a bunch of park area and houses and while we were walking up Hey Monday's tour bus drove by! it was so crazy, and just added fuel to my level of excitement. I took a pic of this all so don't worry this is all true!

...OMFG! A TOUR BUS!?! WE'RE CLOSE!

We finally arrived and had to cross the street to get to the actual venue just when David Blaise was crossing. Okay you can't lie and neither can I, I have just the smallest crush of him. He's just so adorable, much like the guy from Rotate This. So I didn't want to be like a crazed fan and attack him so we just walked. Of course V didn't know this at the time and I informed her later. So we were there pretty early but the people who were already in line were out talking to other band members of This Providence and The Bigger Lights so it looked like there weren't as many people but there was a decent amount at the end of the night. Oh also later DBlaise came over and was like "yo it smells like garbage..." and some other fan was like "eww yah" and I was like "umm duh we're on a garbage strike" and he was like "oh I heard about that" and I was like "It sucks for venues like this when stuff gets left everywhere" and then the random fan was like ".... I like your bracelets" he replied with "oh thanks, I get a lot and I lose a few but they're awesome" and I was like "wanna another one to add to your collection? here" and I gave him the one with the random plastic beads. He said thanks but by the end of the night he wasn't wearing it anymore. It kinda broke my heart but whatever I love him hehehe

Also Ktran's little sis was there with. Like right behind us. But she was with a friend I knew and we were cool with each other. So V and I got to go eat while they watched our place and vice versa.

Another also during the wait, This Providence did a little acoustic set. It was cute Dan and Gavin were awesome and I have it all on video :) watch for those. Andy's a little creeper in my videos and I love him for it.

We didn't get to talk to the bands much since it was only the two of us and we wanted to keep our place. But since it was a Saturday were knew we could talk after the concert.

So about five o'clock hit and we were going in! YES :D Slowly we were allowed in and I love the Mod Club because it's so small. We got in and I bought two of This Providence's CDs for $10 and a got a free poster since all I had was a $50 and posters were $1 :p I don't like carrying merch anymore and my purse was like the size of my fist so I didn't bother looking. We got as close as we could to the stage after that and we ended being 3/4 from the stage for the entire night. This never happens because of all the crowd pushing but this time was good. So as the title cut thing suggest, it started late. The show was set for 5:30 and we were all set at 5:20 but it didn't start until 6 and V and I almost fell asleep standing up. The building did the thing where I could get signal only 50% of the time. So I later found out that they guys from a few bands had just finished eating sushi at like 5:30 lol Okay I'm going to do a quick review of all the bands. They were all so wonderful :D

The Bigger Lights

First off, they and the Friday Night Boys had to play an acoustic set because their drummers and one of the bassist from TBL didn't have passports so they couldn't make it over. But honestly for an acoustic set they still were able to rock it loud. They are also officially one of the nicest and friendliest bands ever. Topher's vocals were amazing. I loved it. I can't wait until they come back, full band and all.

Stereo Skyline

Okay I'll admit, I started listening to them because I thought their drummer was cute. And guess what he is. But there's a funny story about that down below so read that. But the set was good and fun to dance to. I think they didn't turn up Kevin's mic loud enough 'cause you could barely hear him singing or maybe it was just where I was but still a fun set. I don't know if you guys watch Cory in the House but there's a character named Newt and this band looks like Newt times 3.5. I swear, there's only like one guy who doesn't have like bleached blond hair. Very Draco Malfo-ish. Also during this time I caught, not one but TWO picks! Woo. Jersey came out to play with them so I got one of his and one of Brian's I think. But TWO! :D

I was like right in front of Kevin, the lead so yah most of the pics are of him. You can't complain.

Friday Night Boys

They too had an acoustic set. Their drummer, Chris couldn't make. But it was still a good set. Also after the show Andrew did another acoustic set. I didn't get that on video but it was really good. I love his voice and it was alot more mellow than the Bigger Lights. It was something that I wasn't expecting so it was a good change.

He reminds me of Dirty, but in a good way.

I didn't take many pics since it was acoustic and yah they were sitting like that all set. I enjoyed the music more when I don't have to scramble to capture the moment.

This Providence

This was my first time seeing them live, besides the acoustic set they did that afternoon. And all I can say was I loved the energy from Dan. Adorable accent and they music is fun to dance to. I wanted to record "Beautiful Rescue" but I sang along and danced. Sorry. I can't believe they're not more successful with record numbers and such because they totally deserve it.

Hey Monday

Okay this was my third time seeing them and I had enough pictures and videos and my camera was dying on me so V and I decided to "work the room". hahah yah... I enjoy Hey Monday each time I see them and this time was no different. If you want to see my older pics go here that was the first time and it had the best pics. But this time V and I rocked out like idiots at the back. For Josey which is one of my favourtie songs, they gave out those red plastic cups you drink from at parties and it was funny 'cause at one point they were suppose to toss their cups around and share the water. But it ended up looking like one big game of flip cup and everyone loss but were happy about it. Also at the end of their set, the people behind us were getting annoyed so we went further back and ended up beside this couple and it turned out to be Gavin and I think his girlfriend. I realized this AFTER the set and AFTER all the crazy dancing I did. Embarrassing? Yes. Worth it? Fuck yes.

Never been this far back but whatever it was cool.

Right after This Providence's set we left our comfy 3/4 row spot for some water. I've been hydrated all day but I just needed water bad. So we got some and then we were off to meet everyone. And everyone was out back, besides Hey Monday of course. The first people we talked to was The Bigger Lights guys :)

Topher I love you. I hugged him so many times and he's 6 feet tall, no more no less. I told him that he did an amazing set and I loved it, I do this for all the people I meet because it's usually true. When I told him that he hugged me and we took a pic then we hugged again. Ahhh so much love :) Oh I also mentioned how I liked his bracelets and I asked if we could traded. He was down with that and he was even kind enough to place it on my wrist :) I asked when they were coming back as a band and they said fall and they have a few bands in mind but Topher wouldn't tell me which ones!

JK you're fucking awesome. When Topher told me he was the shortest in the group I had to ask JK how tall he was because he was there. LOL yah I'm cool. Then I asked if I could get a pic with the BOTH of them, hehe I'm greedy >:D and woo more hugs! Also I asked JK what the rest of the band were doing, he said probably a movie or fireworks. haha I asked him to tell the rest of the band I wished they could have been there and gave him a cupcake bracelet because I noticed alot of the band members were wearing bracelets of all sorts.

Sandwiched! I wish I could stay there for longer. Notice how they're both hunching over? Yah 6 feet something tall guys with the short Asian girl :)

Next was Andrew from Friday Night Boys! Very sweet as well, I was greeted with a hug :) I told him I felt bad for not getting to see the full band and he said that they would be back in the fall and I was like "Topher just told me that they're also coming back in the fall, do I see another tour?" and he said he didn't think so. Oh well. Pic and then I gave him a necklace. But the chain was a bit short because I wear them like that as well but it was like choking him and I felt so bad! I was trying to put it on him without killing him. V made fun of me for this all night. Like every time he'd pass by she would laugh herself to a fit.

After we mozied on back to Stereo Skyline. More like danced our way, well I danced like I was from the ghetto and well I pretty much am so it was appropriate, V was not very happy about it thought. haha they played "I'm on boat" what else was I suppose to do? Okay so yum! Kevin was first. Got a pic with him and tried to talk to him but Hey Monday was sound checking. I just asked if he thought that their first time in Canada would ever be this big and he was shocked and grateful for everyone. More hugs. Then Rob. Ohh Rob. I think I scared him, there I said it. I don't know what but maybe he couldn't hear me or maybe because I was like shouting in his ear. But after the pic I was trying to converse with him but he would only nod and smile. I even asked him if he was shy and again all he did was nod and smile politely so I gave him my button bracelet to make up for that. Ohh man that was embarrassing too and again V thought it was just hilarious. By now you should know that V is like my official photographer so I felt bad and gave her a break and I took my own pic with Brian, sexy beast. haha Hugs for all!

Then we went over to the Friday Night Boys who were there, Robby and Mike. Took a pic and told Mike what an awesome acoustic set he did. I really meant it because it was just him and Andrew up there and I was really into the set.

The Hey Monday started to play. No big deal I still had This Providence to say thanks to so that's what I did.

But before I did that I met him. I'm not exactly sure who he is LOL I know that's bad but he played with TBL and TP so I was like okay I might as well. It was really loud and I was like "HEYYYYYY! CAN WE GET A PIC? YOU PLAYED AN AWESOME SET!" Yah I played it off very cool. After the pic, he apologized for his red lips since he was eating a lillipop. I asked what flavour, he said cherry he thinks. He then informed me that he found it in the washroom? Okay I don't know if I was hearing this wrong or something but it was really funny. I was like "okay? I don't like public washrooms especially these venues" and he laughed it off. We hugged and I told him that I hope he doesn't get sick.

He's so crazy looking but I loved it. He's still very cool in my books.

So in between listening to Hey Monday I met Andy. I'm in love with Andy as much as I am with DBlaise. So this was epic since all the fans left to go listen. So we pictured and I remembered from the afternoon that he was taking pics with his iPhone and I asked him about them. He mentioned something about their myspace, HM were loud and I told him I have videos of him the corner and we joked about being creepers :) We high-fived and I left but I should have stayed. HM started Candles and he started to sing along and I think it would have been fun to sing with him LOL

Oh I found it. Here is where they'll be posted so I'm going to keep a watch on this.

Me and V jammed to HM songs and it was good, people starred but whatever I could have care less. Oh yah like I mentioned before, Gavin was beside me in the end so I got his pic too :) told him that he played a good set :) The concert pretty much ended at 9:30 so there was a bit of time to talk to the guys and buy as much merch as you can.

Then ohh DBlaise you were so worth the wait. Everyone wanted a piece of him and well I had to wait awhile. I got my pic and hug at the end and I asked if he was going to hang outside since it was gross inside and he said of couse :) but we never did and it kinda sucked. Next time I will talk to him much more during the day/waiting in line part since he was practically free. Learning while I'm not even at school, that's unheard of!

Hand is too high. We should be closer. I'm just saying...

Hehe Dan. There's not much to say but he's just so dreamy...

So we had to go out by now and it was needed. The night was so warm and just perfect. V and I went over to Metro for some drinks and food. Even after a whole bottle to myself I needed an Arizona Tea to get me through the night.

Oh yah V wants to be the next Bruno or something...

We headed over to the Hey Monday tour bus to talk and thank them for an awesome heading show. I got to met Elliot this time :) He was a bit sick but still performed his heart out.

Since V and I were eating, well just her, we sat near him and he was talking to somebody about the music industry. I don't know how that came up but it was cool to hear his opinion. He said that the music industry was in a bit of a pickle with record sales and illegal downloading. He feels/felt that he rather have kids just get their music somehow and then support them at their shows. And this really made me appriciate Hey Monday and the rest of the bands that are trying to make it. Really cool guy :)

JERSEYYYY! Man I love this dude. Last time I met him he was eating a hot dog. This time I'm drinking Arizona, haha there will always be food in our pics. I even asked him if he like vaguely remembered me. He was like "you look familiar, which venue?" I mentioned Bill&Travs and he was all like "ohh yah the hot dog! I felt bad that night that I took a pic with a vegetarian" haha good times :) I told him next time I'll definitely buy him one!

I love how close we are, and it's not even cold outside :D

While waiting to talk to Cassadee, and it was awhile, Andrew or Alex or someone found silly string and was spraying it at her and the fans. It was so funny and she called them "ass bicthes" and it was precious. Like her voice and that word don't mix so it was cute.

Grosssssssss!

She's so small! I love her and how sincere she was with the fans. I told her that everytime I see HM they always deliver and I totally have the best times. She said thanks and I was like "this must be a weird way to celebrate the forth of July" and she was like "yah but it feels like I'm still home. Canada is just like a part of the US..." pause "...and the US is just like a part of Canada." hahah we had a good laugh. Then I gave her a bracelet and it was very cute and girly. A pink cupcake with a pearl like beads. She was so cute about it too, like she didn't believe that I made it for her. She asked if I really made it for her or if it was one of my own. :) I assured her that it was for her and we hugged it out.

So speaking of July 4th all of these bands are American. Well Dan is from Australia but still he plays in an American band. They just had to celebrate so someone got them sparklers and they were dancing around for a bit with them. It was pretty funny.

See what I mean? Brian is hilarious.

After that we wandered a bit and well I met everyone I could. Andrew did an acoustic thing, just him surrounded by girlies and it was good. I wonder if any one got a pic or video 'cause you can see him wearing hte necklace LOL I'll look....

Okay I found a vid but you probably can't see it cause it's in the dark and yah it's okay just watch though he was really good.

But yah a few guys from This Providence and I think Stereo Skyline went with these guys to some McDonalds and I can't lie I was a little jealous. But whatever, I wasn't going to let that ruin anything. So V and I had about an hour to kill and we decided to venture home. Street car pics are fun so here are a few and you know where the rest are. But since we were kinda pooped out we weren't paying attention to the lady who announces each stop and we missed our stop. But I know my way enough and we got all at Bay Street and walked all the way down to Union Station. Yah it was a 20 something minute walk but it was fun. At least to me. v hates walking but ohh man something happened to me then. I think it was after I tripped and broke my sandal that I snapped and went crazy. I was shouting at cars and people and walking funny because of the shoe thing. And singing. How could I forget? I was singing "I gota feeling" everywhere! It started at the venue when they played it during intermission and yah I had to sing it while waking to Union pissing off V even more. And every time someone looked at me funny it was good to know that I was high off life not anything else.

Like I said, I have 7 to begin with and 3 left in the end.

All the bars were just opening and it smelled like shrimp :)

You made it through the entire post! Good for you. This was honestly the most fun I've fun in such a long time, concert wise. Great bands and even greater people.

Okay so I thought about this for a long time and I think it's the right time.

A ROBO SALE!! :O

Yup, that's right. If you're in need of a 1.5 inch friend who'll keep your tiny bits of good stuff well I'm taking orders for robots. I'm in need of cash and well now that I have the time I might as well do it.

So to order follow these steps:

Step 1: Pick you colour. I have a whole bunch but I'm going to be sticking to the basics; the rainbow. Red is a cherry red. Orange is orangy. Yellow is bright like yellow. I have two greens, a regular kelly green type and a bright apple green. Blues, I got a few too. There's a dark blue not so dark that it's navy and a bright sky blue. Purple is a plum colour, don't mind the picture I took it without flash. I also have a dark blue-green colour, very different. You can find all the colours here if you want to see them for yourselves.

Step 2: Amount. Tell me how many of whatever you want or else I'm assuming just one.

Step 3: What do you want it for. Like a necklace, bracelet charm, key chain, etc. Be specific so I know. (ie. lengths and such)

Step 4: If there are any specifics you want, tell me. I can try engravings and stuff but I haven't done it before so I don't know how it will turn out. Remember that since they open I can change it that they don't open. But who would want that? ANY ADDITIONAL WORK WILL COST EXTRA. IT WILL VARY FROM THE AMOUNT OF DETAIL

Step 5: PAYMENT! Woo! This is more fun for me than you. I'm taking cash or paypal :) A regular robot like the one above will cost $15. Like I said before any addition work will cost you!

Step 6: Shipment. Ugh. For friends I'll come find you but if not then I'm willing to send it via snail mail. Also if you're willing to come over to pick it up cool, but it's super sketch so I won't do it. I said it was cool not plausible. Hopefully I can send them out in little envelopes as letters (ie. weight of 500g or less) but there will be an additional $1 charge. This is just to cover the cost of the stamp and envelope.

I'm kinda woosy right now but I'm pretty sure it's all the toxic fumes. I'm cool with it though so don't worry :) WOOOT! Here after the cut is the first batch of finished SAM'S STUFF MADE OVER THE MBREAK.

It's the "&" thing but different, kind of like the S&S one but NOT. I like mine better, it's awesomer 'cause I'm making some it all the other colours I can find.

I'm in love with how this turned out. It's a circle mirror with the casting on it, and I mixed the only two colours I have (FUCK dye is like 6 bucks, wanna donate money for me? didn't think so) and yah it turned out like this! It's much more awesome in real life so you gotta see it.

It's a Jone's bottle cap, with one hell of a fortune. All your hard work will soon pay off. I think it was about the casting stuff, and it was right :)

Umm, I dunno what I was doing. It turned out pretty cool, like it's just a random seashell that I have so I was like why not? Still don't know what to do with it so tell me what I should do with it in a comment :)

You may have seen it in the last post, but yes it is indeed a bird cage. AND IT OPENS?! Pretty sickk I know, it's one of my new favourites.

Boredom and this is what I did.

Again another frigging awesome ring. So happy about this one, very experimental. Just to let you guys know (cause I care so much) the casting isn't suppose to have THAT many bubbles but I'm glad this one had so many bubbles, kinda gives the ring movement. Also you need to see it in real life to feel the whole/full effect.

This is the final flower ring, I kinda dropped it and broke it so I fixed it. I like it better with the glossy finish. Very elegant :)

I copied this design from somewhere, but I'm not telling where. :p

This is old and I've worn it out a bit but I haven't taken a picture of it so here it is! Yes they go together and I don't care what you think. :D Look how happy they are?!

So that's batch numero uno! There are a few more pieces to come, I just don't think I'll have time to get to them by the end of this week. Hopefully I will but with working and shopping and visiting the grandpeople I just don't know. Oh yah also got some hxc studying to do, like major HXC. So comments welcomed, criticisms kinda welcomed, STEALING IDEAS NOT WELCOMED. Haha just kidding yah. Don't forget the rest of my pictures are HERE and please feel free to share. Me: oh sweet jesus, it's amazing. It's like a pizza sandwich. there's pizza/tomato sauce, cheese and meatballs and sausages with umm more cheese. yah it's good.
Doug: oh haha cool. oh by the way, we're in a band. we just played here yesterday and we got the day off so we're doing some promos. *hands card thing*

-then Shirley came up from the washroom (alive thank god, I heard so many rumors about that washroom) and we had to leave. we said out seeyas! and we did again like during the lineup. but Doug was like "I know you!" and we talked more about food. But he had like an ipod with their music but he didn't let us litsen D: I know. LOL I was like "fine don't let us listen". I only regret not getting a pic! Like after the show, why didn't I? Oh well we'll talk about ham or something next time, I know it ;)
-lines suck! especially in such weather. but it went by fast enough.
-again, tour merch has become less fascinating for me. it's probably because I have so much but still, I love collecting hooides LOL. I just got the VE EP :) or the VEEP (super cool)
-all the bands were GODLY!

VE: Sweet geebuses! Voice amazing. Talent amazing. Dudes super nice. Energy so high that it's got me speaking in fragments.
TFT: Woah. Adorable in real life and crazy good live. Like now that I watch the videos again Miaka's voice isn't as high-pitched as I remember it LOL but yah I really enjoyed their set!
The Cab: ♥ Third time and I can't wait to see them again (hopefully with new material) It was a little less considering it's the last leg of the tour and they must be tired, but Ian can still shred. Anytime, any place, any thing.
WTK: Slightly disappointed. I dunno it was weird without Drew but it was still good. It might be due to my sickness but I liked their performance last time a lot better. Like their cover of "Feel Good Inc" was just amazing and exciting and I felt that this time it lacked in excitement. Again it's most likely the same with the Cab, it's the last days and they're probably feeling defeated. (Plus 3/4 of the bands are from Florida so our shit weather must suck for them LOL)

-met tons of people! the stories will be with the pictures :) they were met in between sets and stuff and it was just good times.
-also my sharpie met tons of people so yah I use it on a daily. :D
-Versa's little acoustic thing after the show was great. I wanted to give Blake my girlie gloves so his fingers would be warm, but that would be weird. :D
-Tsui's dad gave us a drive home :D

And he thanked me, and I thanked him back ~~for not calling the cops on me, seriously I was major creep on him LOL~~

I met Sierra at the end and she was singing so I didn't want to stop her. Her voice, you'll see down this post, is just beautiful. But 4/5 members signed by EP. Jerry was M.I.A. So we'll just wait until next time.

Christian - YUM. he put a shirt on, I guess he got cold or something. But he was like at the exit and people were leaving but not wanting to leave without talking to him, which is understandable so we pictured and left.

Maika - was dancing when we wanted to talk to him. So yah... we had to interupt Maika's party for one dance club to get pics but it was worth it :)

Chris - mannnnnn. I love him. He's kinda cocky but in such a way that it's almsot acceptable. Like he was dancing too but for money. So we took pics and gave him money. It felt like a form of postitution LOL. Also he's so petit! Like my height, not even. Hehe it was still cute though.

Good Ol' Marshall. I love him for trying! Like last time with the Cab at the Mod Club, all the members were out and talking and taking pictures. But when we got to the van, Ian just went away and Marhsall out. He said it was too cold for him which was funny cause it was the warmest it's been in like a month for us. Vegas/Florida kids pshhh, love them but they're so weak LOL. But like I was saying, The Cab were kinda M.I.A. but Marshall tried to do his best and for that I will go see them again and again. He really is the nicest person. But I wanted a hug! Like they're ~*infamous~* for making you feel good about yourself. Haha I'm not weird for saying that.

Also Johnson was at the back but drinking and probably drunk. I didn't want to get inbetween that.

I know I know! What happened? A fanclub is what happened. The "we the fans" took that time AFTER the show to do a M&G party thing. So the guys were not out and about after the show. But that's okay Danny was running around and Hunter too. Next time, there will always be a next time.

One Bogus Journey

First off, I have to say woah. The show was crazy, insane and one of the best I've ever been to. V and I got to the venue around 3-ish because we made a little stop at Eatons for shopping and eating. But we only had to wait one and half hours in the cold, and we did lose all feeling in our toes and fingers. Jack came out to round up the M&G people and while he was walking I said hi and asked for a high-five and I got one. It was awesome. So 4:30 came quickly enough, and I had bought along a ton of food and a drink and when we got to bag check I had so much shit in my bag that the lady was like alright go lol. It was funny and so next time I know what to do.

For the first time, I didn't buy any band merch! :O As surprising as it sounds, there was just nothing that really caught my eye and shouted "OMG)*&%& SAM BUY ME!" Like nothing at all and they didn't have any Hey Monday merch were kinda sucked as well. So we got coat checked and went in. The Gurvernment venue sucks. It's small and cramped and yucky. And by the time V and I got there we were to the left near the speakers, which marked the middle.

ALL PICTURES WILL EVENTUALLY BE UPLOADED HERE! And as always the shows get warmer and my camera picks up all the mist and sweat and massive body heat so by the end of the night my pics are crap. And everything is behind a cut because it's very image heavy.

HEY MONDAY!
I actually kinda started to like this band and their love set wasn't that bad. I knew most of the songs and it was just fun to jump and dance and sing to them. I was to the left which was Alex and Jersey's side and I got a few good pictures of Elliot (the drummer, is adorable) and even Cassadee. Like I said I got a few good pictures so they're here but the rest of the blurry and red-eyed are at the photobucket. And Travis came out to sing during on of the songs and everyone started screaming. It was awesome.

Next was Carolina Liar, which I haven't really listened up on and I only knew a few of their songs. But omg, their singer is so passionate it was almost scary. They have a alot of band members, I think there are six of them and I couldn't really get a group shot lol. Also the singer blocked one of the guys, from my point of view and until like the second last song I thought there were only five members. Again, my pictures of them are not bad all things considering.

Hehehe, omg I really do love this band. They were pretty much as awesome as I excepted. And since there are only four guys in the band, I got descent pictures of Danny and him hiding behind those drums. Plus they played Secret Valentine, which is one of my favourite songs. BUT OMG I COULDN'T BELIEVE THIS. A girl's sister that I go to school with was like right beside me. It was so weird. I knew who she was but she didn't know who I was but she knew who my friend was. If that made ANY sense it's all true. And her and her little crazy guy friend were jumping to like every song. It got really annoying and I was trying to take AWESOME vids for Neha. So every time he got close, I would push him away a little, and right before TAI started I ended up asking him NOT to jump so much because I was trying to take footage for my friend.

Not surprising, the first picture I took was of the Butcher and all his goodness. I know why people go to TAI shows now. Bill Beckett has such an awesome presence and he's so wonderful to watch. Mike! was so far away that I barely got a descent pic of him. But Chizzy and Sisky Biz were on my side so I have a ton of pictures of them. Sisky totally gets into the set and Chizzy just lingers to the left of the stage which I thought was funny. And omg Butcher. I love him even more, if that's pissible. Shirtless and bearded, he played and sang so well that it makes my heart hurt. Really, I couldn't had asked for a better show. And I was happy of where I was standing because there was so much pushing. Like that nasty crowd wave stuff and it sucked so I didn't really move unless I could.

Umm I know it's not TAI but oh man I love Tony ;)

V got bored. Yeah BORED during the TAI set so I told her I would meet her back at the merch table. It was find because she wasn't sad or in tears, just bored. But while she was back there, she meet a few guys from Carolina Liar which was pretty cool too. So we got our stuff and well I needed to take something back from the show. So I asked Chris (and it was his birthday yesterday) if he was selling any of the Butcher's art and he said yes! It was a woodcut, and he started to explain what it was and how it was made but me being such a savvy art student knew what a woodcut print was and for $20 I now own I piece of Butchery art.

Sexy. Where the hell am I going to hang it without being fucking creeped out in the middle of the night?

The show ended really early like 9-ish because the Guvernment is also a cub and had to clear the place asap. So we went outside "waiting for our ride" and there were hot dog stands set up. I was kinda hungry and we went closer to debate whether to get one or not. As we were waiting, I saw Jersey form Hey Monday! These girls were like "omg you look familiar..." and he just bit into his hot dog and couldn't say his own name which was so cute. So I turn and scream "OMG JERSEY!^&*#^" haaha I made sure I knew who the people in Hey Monday were just for this occasion. And he was really glad that I knew his name and we got pictures and either it was the weather or he was happy to see a real fan, our heads were really close together and he held me closely. :3 But yeah we talked for bit about the weather (freezing for him, okay for us) and how his hot dog was cold. And also some guy passed by us and was like "excuse me ladies" and he was all like "yo I'm not a lady psfffffhh" and it was funny. But then a few more people wanted pics so we let him and then we saw his guy again from Carolina Liar, Jimmy. He kinda looks like Sylar just skinnier. But yeah we called him over and asked for pics and oh my I look bad in that pic, like lazy eye and all so you wouldn't see my face. But after we talked for a bit, like he was surprised that people knew his name. And V jokingly said that I was a stalker, and he was like "I'm okay with that" and I was like "ohh okay cool, I'll be your stalker". And he was holding a box and we asked what was in it and it was a pair of shoes he wanted to put into their van but couldn't and had to wait in the cold for somebody to open it. And we were like "yeah it's Canada, it's what we got to put up with" and he was like "yeah I'm okay with the cold, I'm from Sweden but I'm just not dressed warmly" We exchanged a few more laughs and he went along his merry way. And then we see a bunch of girls running and screaming towards the tour buses so we knew that somebody had come out but Mikey was out and about so we had to get a pic with him and by then Jersey was done his cold hot dog. After that we went to see who was out signing and stuff and it was Travis and Chizzy! AHHHH :D SO I thought I would get to Travis but NO I waited in line and by the time he was going to come my way he went back inside the bus. I'm sorry Neha :( I was going to get a video message for you cuz I had some memory left. But I got to meet Chiz, Hunter and Jack :D And I was waiting for William but he only greeted like half the line and went away somewhere. And while I was waiting for him, Butcher came out of no where to get on the bus, I screamed "yo Butcher!!" and he smiled and went in. That moment could have completed my life but no it only half completed it. It was very surreal to see the Butcher so close yet so far :( When William had left, Danny came out to greet us but I realized that it was time to go and we headed to Union station to go home. Overall, it was kinda the perfect way to end the night. :)

Ready for an extremely LONG recap of July 11? Well click on the cuts when you are, okay?

The journey began as a usual trip downtown with Vivian. The bus to Scarborough Town Centre was late as usual and while we waited I took pictures of various scenarios that could have occurred to stop the buses. Slowly we made our way through YRT, TTC, RT, subway and walking. The subway train that we took to get down was one of the original ones that are still running amok the city. They're probably from the 70's where people weren't afraid of sharing a seat or two with their fellow passengers. We needed to take a short detour because of over active bladders. Stopping by a Tims near Chester, we couldn't help but pass a few stores including a bridal shop. Then it back to the Mod Club. The sun had come out just in time for a bright 12 and a half minute walk from Ossington to the Mod Club. That area is Little Italy/Portugal so I should have excepted the bonks from cars but seriously 3-4 bonks in under 15 minutes is not good. Either I was dressed like a slut or guys (aka old men with cars) are very pervy. I place my bet on the second one seeing as I was wearing shorts and square neck top. Finally made it to the line and no longer than 5 seconds no I receive an awesome hug from Neha! Yeah! I was so glad that her and Florence were they earlier. It helped alot in the long run.

Now there was about 3 hours to kill until the doors opened. Talking and eating was the bulk of the activities but there were a few things to highlight. The first, the crazy old drunk army dude. Old because of his appearance with the white hair and wrinkles. Army because he kept shouting that he came back from Iraq and served for Canada but later on the USA. Crazy because he offered in exchange for a cigarette he would drop his pants. NO OLD ONE NO. NEVER. PLEASE. STOP. Everyone was freaking out, myself included, because he started to walk up closer to the fans in line and asking people but he eventually left. Second highlight, The Cab. Enough said right? No they arrived around 3:30 and we so casual that whole time. Crossing the street and shopping for food at Dominions and just walking past us all with some sound equipment. It was so cute watching them greet Greta and Bob from The Hush Sound and it really was like they were part of one big ol' family. Mini-highlight for me was Alex Marshall changing right there and then. Honestly, one swing of the door and the shirt was off and on within seconds. It didn't last for too long but they memory has been burned into my brain. Why couldn't he have changed in the van? Because Alex Deleon was changing in there. :)

AHH, after 3 hours it was time to enter! Yes excitement was high and the venue was nice and cozy. I love to buy band merch, especially since this was the Hush't first headlining tour I needed something to commemorate this ocassion. It's nice to see the familiar face of Adam who I saw not too long ago in May. After quickly getting merch Vivian and I went to the stage to meet with Neha, Yentl and Florence. Getting merch wasn't going to stop me from getting closer so within minutes I was right behind my friends. I started roughly third from the stage and ended up forth from the stage but with a short girl in front of me which leveled things out.
THE SETS WERE NOTHING SHORT OF AMAZING.
That night three bands played: We The Take, The Cab and The Hush Sound.

We Are The Take are a local Toronto and were fairly good. Their music was easy to listen to and catchy. I would classify it at jingle and a tad of the jangle music. I only say this because the dude standing beside me was at a constantly jingle and had arm hair like you wouldn't believe. We were so close to the stage that right before they started we could even ask for their names.

The Cab were adorable. I was standing right in front of [Alex] Marshall's keyboard so the view was just fine. They didn't play Vegas Skies but they did play Take my Hand so again there's a good balance at work here. [Alex] Deleon was so close so many times and it was unbearable, in a good way. Like so close yet so far. But he and Cash were right above so many times, I was a little paranoid that sweaty droplets would come down. I love the fact that they want to interact with the fans as much as they can and as often as they can. Like before the show as well, Deleon and Cash were walking around the merch booth and talking to everyone.

The Hush Sound never disappoint. This was my third time seeing them and I'm so over the moon on how muck they've grown as a group and continue to stride for the best for themselves. They got more set time than the previous shows and even did a few covers. I always seem to end up to the right of the stage and didn't get many good pictures of Greta but enough of Chris to last me a life time or until the next time they come around. One of their cover's was Smokey's "You Really Got A Hold On Me" featuring Darren! I always seem to forget that they all sing and that song really gave him a chance to show off his talent.

After the 3 amazing sets, the show ended. But it ended around 9:45-ish which was very early and it gave Vivian and I (who didn't need to leave until 11) ample time to talk to band member and get a few pictures in. It's a bit picture and story heavy so be patient.

This was sort of in the moment because he took my camera and was like "how do you turn this thing on? how do I get some pictures going?" so I turned it on for him and let him take :)

The Cab

Alex Deleon - He was nice about taking a picture but we didn't have much of a conversation since there were so many other people around.

Ian Crawford - yeah ^_^ he was sweet. I asked if he was really Shane's cousin, You know Shane, Panic Shane yeah that one. And he said yes and that they were distant cousins, like his mom is Shane's cousin. AND Vivian just had to bring up the robot and said "yeah he stole her robot" which confused him and he was like "what?" but I cleared it up by saying that I give it to him because he seemed like he really wanted it. So the next time that they see each other, Ian will ask about it. Doubtful but whatever it was our conversation.

Alex Marshall [I ♥ you] - Omg. There are few words to describe he so I'll try my best. First off, his hug. It was warm and fuzzy. Not going to lie, he kinda grabs you and keeps you there with a friend rub/pat on the back type of thing. So when this was happening I was like "ohh happy belated birthday" [because someone mentioned/asked about his age] and I continued with "so how was it? what did you do" and he replied with "Fishing. it's one of my many unknown talents." "oh, what did you catch?" "trout". "that's it?" "yeah well I was in Utah." "did you gut, cut it fresh and it eat it raw?" "haha of course. But I'm not really into the raw fish." "what, how about sushi?""Nah I'm not a real big fan. My extent goes as far as the California rolls. Like the octopus and the eel is just not my thing." "Really now? Octopus is good." And all while this was happening Alex Deleon was trying to open the van's back door but it was suck so he turned to Marshall and was like "dude?" and Marshall was all like "ohh this thing is here.... NOW OUR VAN IS FUCKING BROKEN :P" and we all laughed. That marked the end of our conversation because there were a ton of other girls waiting for him so we said thanks and bye.

Oh yeah... he wanted to get naked :)

I didn't get to meet Cash or the other Alex [Jonhston] because they were all over the place and surrounded by people.

Overall the night was more than I could ask for. The general crowd was fun and there was minimal pushing. I'm so glad that I got to go and also I didn't give any necklaces away. Maybe next time I should make a few in advance and hand them out to who ever I meet.

Also videos are on their way. They take days to upload and I have work which I forgot to mention. I called in sick AS MY SISTER IN A TIM'S WASHROOM. Very echoy and is not suggested. My manager didn't believe it and snapped back with a "why couldn't she do it herself?". I, I mean my sister is thankfully a quick thinker and said that I was sleeping. But I called again but this time from the wheat and grain products department/section of the Dominions and was actually myself and I sounded like an old woman. Either way still hate work. But concerts come first.

HOLY CRAP THE SHOW WAS INSANE. YES CAPS ARE NEEDED TO EXPRESS HOW INTENSE THE SHOW WAS LAST NIGHT.

The whole experience of the Honda Civic tour was just amazing. There are few words that can describe it, so there will be a repeat in the words used in this post. It's very lengthy, so you've been warned.

I love public transportation. Seriously, it's the only way I can travel nowadays. So I had to take two buses to get the show, one to get downtown and the other to the actually venue. While my friends were on the second bus, I over-heard some dudes talking about the other girls/fans that were on the same bus with us. And I striked up a conversation with them and it turned out that they were security for the show that night. It was funny, they had so many stories and advice from other shows they've worked at and one of them was guarding the barrier. When we got to the line up he had to check in and we said we'd try to see him later at eight. (This didn't happen for me unfortunately.)

Yesterday's weather was completely different from today. It was cloudy by the time we arrived there, just before five, and only moments later did it start to rain. Luckily, I was prepared and had an umbrella. However, wearing shorts and flip-flops was not such a good idea for any concert involving mass amounts of estrogen. After 10 minutes of rain, I realize that the people in front of us were completely umbrella-less so sharing is always caring. I asked if they would like to be partially covered from the rain with us. They were super nice. The girl was actually there with her friend's friend so he pretty much was dragged along. But he was cool about being surrounded by the bulk of girls. Once we got out of the rain we separated but the hour in the rain was better off spent with them.

The Sound Academy. It was a smaller venue than I excepted and the stage area is very narrow. As soon as we were in I saw the merch booth. I didn't really like anything in particular except the Hush Sound's hoodie. And it was awesome seeing Adam (the Hush Sound's merch man) and I it was nice that he remembered the venue last year because I was wearing the hoodie I bought last year from him.

We get the standing area and it's already packed but we got relatively close to the stage, about 5-7 metres away. It was good until the show actually started. Phantom Planet opened up with such an energetic set that after they played people were being ass-wipes and started a wave. Like the people-body type wave and it was literally scaring the shit out of one of my friends, so we parted with my other friend and I moved back with my friend. I felt so bad for making her come with me at that point that I really wanted to leave. But my friend V is such a trooper. Then The Hush Sound played which got me very excited again because they are honestly wonderful live. I wished I was a bit closer for pictures but that's okay. After them, Motion City Soundtrack played. Honestly, Justin is the cutest thing ever. They played a good set because I knew most of the songs and I didn't feel stupid.

Finally, it was Panic's turn to take the stage. It was sort of stupid when everyone was cheering "panic" because it didn't make things go any faster or slower. But hey that's just me and I'm probably a bit touchy after I've been deprived of water for so long. As soon as they came on stage, everyone lit up and again things went crazy. I never knew watching Brendon sing would be so entertaining and I'm not going to lie, his face is priceless. But it ended after their 40 so minute set and we had to leave.

The best thing about concerts is waiting to meet someone from the band or whoever. Unfortunately it was raining and I needed to be home as fast as possible, which meant catching the 11:40 bus. But I turn my head and all of a sudden I see Shane! Yes the one and only Shane Valdez. I said hey and introduced myself and couldn't help but ask for a picture. He's such a nice guy that he said of course. A few other people saw who he was and it was cool so they took pictures with him too. After, we start a mini conversation about touring the guys and that he's making his second film of the band. And then about of the blue, he sees my necklace. It's an inch tall robot made from polymers clay which I made. (I have a picture of it on my phone but don't know how to get it off my phone. Which makes me completely dense seeing as I've had the phone for over two years.) He seemed genuinely interested in my necklace so offered it to him. He couldn't take it without a fair trade so he went backstage to see if he could find me anything and came back with a clean, intact set list of Panic's performance and a hug. I snap back to reality long enough to realize that the bus was leaving in 20 minutes for me so I had to leave. We said goodbye and were gone. I thought it was really a nice way to end the night.

Okay, don't judge my face. I had just gotten contacts last Friday but on the morning of the concert I found that one of them had ripped. Yes, I broke a contact after having it no more than 5 days. So I had to wear my red glasses, which I was so afraid of losing/breaking at the concert.

WOW. The Hellogoodbye concert was even better than I would have ever expected it! All the bands sounded amazing and were very energic. The best part of the night was that I got to meet Bob and Greta from The Hush Sound. They were both so sweet to actually stop and give me an autograph and picture with them. I even got to give Bob a hug, hehehe that was awesome.
