LONDON – Richard Todd, who re-enacted his wartime exploits in the 1962 film "The Longest Day" and was Ian Fleming's choice to play James Bond, has died of cancer at age 90, his family said Friday. Todd, who was nominated for an Academy Award for the 1949 film "A Hasty Heart" and starred as U.S. Senate chaplain Peter Marshall in "A Man Called Peter" (1954), died Thursday at his home in Little Humby, Lincolnshire in central England, according to his agent, the Richard Stone Partnership. In Britain, one of his best-known roles was playing Royal Air Force pilot Guy Gibson in "The Dam Busters." "He had been suffering from cancer, an illness that he bore with his habitual courage and dignity," the family said in a statement.

Taylor Swift has nothing but admiration for her fellow singer Rihanna — but admits she’d be “petrified” if she ever had to perform for the pop superstar.
The Love Story hitmaker says she’s nervous about singing in front of her peers.
“Rihanna is one of my favorite artists so if I ever have to perform in front of her I’m so petrified,” said Swift, 19.
“I admire her so much and to have her sit there listening to my music would just make me so scared and nervous.”
Taylor recently revealed that she’s hoping to buy furniture the next time she’s in London.
“I have just bought my first home in Nashville,” she told the Stern website. “So I will go out soon, and live alone for the first time in my life.
“If I find some free time in London, I would like to buy furniture and accessories. I’ve heard that there are great antique shops in Portobello Road.”

Not yet confirming that they indeed are a couple, the actors are said scouting for a love nest in L.A. neighborhoods in a bid to "find out how compatible they really are."
Though they have tried hard not to be seen together since they were snapped holding hands last month, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart keep becoming talk of the town as they reportedly are in the hunt for a love nest where they can live together. A friend of them tells In Touch Weekly, "They're not ready for a huge commitment, but right now the best thing to do seems to find a home with a lot of privacy and security where they can find out how compatible they really are."
London-born Robert and Los Angeles native Kristen reportedly have been secretly scouting for a home in L.A. neighborhoods, like Beachwood Canyon and the Hollywood Hills, "rentals only for now." "They're young and live these crazy lives at the moment. Even if you are head over heels in love with each other, you never really know if one of you has habits that will drive the other crazy. They want to give it their best shot, and that's a big deal," says the friend.
The friend, furthermore, adds "They're both entertainers and understand this bubble they're both living in more than anyone else right now. They have a lot in common." No denial or confirmation has been outed just yet by either Robert or Kristen.
Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewarthave been romantically linked since they starred as on-screen lovers in last year flick "Twilight". Though repeatedly quashing rumors that they are dating, they were photographed holding hands in early November this year.

The couple, who have been together seven years, met in acting class in 2001 and became engaged in July 2008.
Adams, 35, will next be seen in the romantic comedy, Leap Year, which hits theaters on Jan. 8.
